Maritime Studies Seminar

Learning points:

1. Rehearse and prepare well before the actual event.
2. Be thorough and systematic in running through the sequence of events and items list
3. Be prepared for any contigency
4. Be humorous and entertaining
5. Be witty

this was an okay experience. The event isnt as big/significant as what i was used to - hosting ministers and VVIP. and also the culture and organisation standards are very different from my training. I must seek to help improve the current situation. I grade mine performance 7 out of 10. I repeated a sentence in one paragraph... this should not have happened and it is not accpeted. I would probably have done better if the supporting cast were more prepared - ie. VIP usherer knew her role. Was disappointing. She was certainly not prepared for her role.
