Zero Debt Policy

'Zero Debt Policy' : the policy of clearing all my tutorials and lecture notes at the end of every week (Zhi Chao, 2006). Wahaha.. In order to keep up with school work.. not only that but to build a strong foundation in order to excel, I cannot afford to accumulate debt. I must be discipline. I have to complete all my work within the week by the end of the week and constantly monitor my own progress.

Like what Augustine told me... pusuing a degree education is just like running a 400m X 4 sprint. the only difference is that you are the only one running the entire distance with more than 7 others competitors on the track. While you must run fast, you must not burn out from the beginning. To win the race, it is about running fast at a steady pace which one can keep up for the entire 1.6km. There are opportunities for small breaks at the end of each lap, but these breaks are insufficient for one to rejuvenate. Even during the break, we gotta keep working and thinking about the next lap. Varying one's speed during the race is akin to how hard one works during each term; when to slow down or when to forge ahead has to be carefully planned.

Our shoes/ attire and weather are external factors which can cause us to slow down and eventually lose the race. While we can choose the right shoes and attire to wear, we cannot control the weather. Similarly, we can arm ourselves with the best knowledge before examinations but we cannot determine the level of difficulty of the exams. However, weather can be predicted.
